Pismo Beach holds a variety of special events including the 4th of July Fireworks Show, Clam Festival, Band Review, Car Show, Mardi Gras, Jubilee-by-the-Sea Dixieland Jazz Festival and Western Days. The Five Cities Region of the South County area of San Luis Obispo County also host many excellent events. We will try to feature many of them here. This site is hosted by the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce. |

Monarch Butterfly Tours at the Monarch Butterfly Grove. These beautiful orange and black "fairy-like" creatures begin to appear in late October in California's largest Monarch grove. Thousands cluster in our Eucalyptus trees, giving the appearance of golden leaves. The Monarch butterfly grove is located on Highway 1 just south of the North Pismo State Beach Campground. | March 22 , 2008 - Easter Egg Hunt | |

The Pismo Beach Recreation Division and the Business Improvement Group (BIG) will be sponsoring the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Dinosaur Caves Park . The event starts at 10 a.m. It is free to the public and will occur rain or shine. The event, designed for children 12 and under, will offer egg hunts in five age divisions: 2 and under, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-9 years, and 10-12 years. There will be special prizes in each age category. Kids can participate in crafts, egg tossing game, balancing and finding eggs. There will be a petting zoo with a mini pony, chickens, goat, and bunnies. There will have 4 face painters, balloon caricature artist, kids music, and much more. The Easter Bunny will be visiting so parents are encouraged to bring a camera. Children should bring their own Easter basket.
